STEERING CONTROL ECU REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Put protective tape around the instrument side panel LH.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 clips and remove the instrument side panel LH.

  4. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

    *1 Screw <A>
    *2 Bolt <E>

    1. Remove the 3 screws <A> and 2 bolts <E>.

    2. Detach the 6 clips.

    3. Disconnect the connectors, detach the clamp and remove the glove compartment door assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 5 clips and 2 guides.

    2. Disconnect the connectors, detach the clamp and remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE STEERING CONTROL ECU


    1. A01FGA3

      Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. A01FHIA

      Remove the 2 bolts and steering control ECU.
