C13A9/61 Brake Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The Parking brake ECU assembly receives vehicle wheel speed information from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) via CAN communication.

C13A9/61

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Engine switch is on (IG)

  2. Malfunction signal is input from skid control ECU for approx. 0.3 sec.

  • Vehicle stability control system

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If the parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, perform the "Reset Memory" and "Acquire Tension Sensor Zero Point" procedures Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the GTS on.

    4. Check for DTC Click here.

    GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART) Click here

  2. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTC Click here.

    5. Check for DTC.
