DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU receives vehicle speed signals from the brake actuator assembly via the CAN communication line to control the lane-keeping assist system. When the driving support ECU receives information that there is a malfunction in the vehicle speed sensor, DTC C1A45 is stored.

C1A45 When the vehicle speed is 50 km/h (31 mph) or more with the lane-keeping assist main switch on, a signal indicating a malfunction in the vehicle speed sensor is received from the brake actuator assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a 50 km/h (31 mph) or more, and operate lane-keeping assist system.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1A45 is not output.

      Note

      When replacing the driving support ECU, always replace it with a new one and be sure to perform initialization Click here. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the ECU will not match the information from the vehicle, and as a result, a DTC may be stored.
