BRAKE BOOSTER(for LHD) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Release the vacuum from booster by depressing the brake pedal several times.

Then remove the brake master cylinder from brake booster.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL

  5. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

  7. REMOVE COWL TOP INSIDE CORNER PANEL LH

    Click here

  8. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP REINFORCEMENT

    Click here

  9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

    Click here

  10. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  11. DISCONNECT VACUUM SENSOR CONNECTOR (w/ Stop And Start System)


    1. A005LQ1

      Disconnect the vacuum sensor connector.

  12. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

      Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the check valve.

    2. A005JRW

      Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness bracket. (for Multi-mode Automatic Transmission)

    3. A005GY5

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake tubes.

    4. Remove the gasket from the brake booster assembly.
