NAVIGATION SYSTEM Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The extension module receives a reverse signal from the power management control ECU via the No. 1 integration relay and radio and display receiver assembly to use for adjusting the vehicle position on the multi-display.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL)


    1. Disconnect the extension module connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      i1-19 (REV0) - Body ground

      Power switch on (READY)

      Reverse (R) selected

      		 11 to 15.5 V
      i1-19 (REV0) - Body ground

      Power switch on (READY)

      Except reverse (R) selected

      		 Below 1 V

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EXTENSION MODULE - RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the extension module connector.

    2. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      i1-19 (REV0) - i2-5 (REV0) Always Below 1 Ω
      i1-19 (REV0) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL)


    1. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      E128-2 (REV) - Body ground

      		 11 to 15.5 V

    1. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the No. 1 integration relay connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E128-2 (REV) - 1G-4 (NAV) Always Below 1 Ω
      E128-2 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the No. 1 integration relay connector.

    2. Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1G-13 (BKUP) - A98-15 (BL) Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-13 (BKUP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  6. REPLACE NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY


    1. Replace the No. 1 integration relay with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Check that the malfunction disappears.
