FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:


    • Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

    • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

    Note


    • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD


    1. Remove the rear No. 3 floor board.

  3. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH


    1. Fold back the rear No. 2 floor board.

    2. Remove the deck floor box RH Click here.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD UPPER PLATE

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear No. 3 floor board upper plate.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the outer seat track cover.

  7. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK COVER

      Disengage the guide and claw and remove the inner seat track cover.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

    2. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

    3. A0040WC

      Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

    4. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the center position. Also, operate the power seat switch knob and move the seatback to the upright position.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative auxiliary (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    6. Disconnect the connectors under the seat.

    7. Remove the front seat assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
