DESCRIPTION

The rear height control sensor sub-assembly is connected to the parking assist ECU. This DTC is stored when the parking assist ECU judges that vehicle height sensor signal received from the rear height control sensor sub-assembly is abnormal or has not changed (rear height control sensor sub-assembly seized).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When the "System initializing" message is displayed on the navigation ECU sub-assembly after the auxiliary battery cable has been disconnected, correct the steering angle neutral point Click here.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the intelligent parking assist system may be needed Click here.

  1. CHECK VEHICLE SPECIFICATION


    1. Check vehicle specification.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L59 parking assist ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the S2 rear height control sensor sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L59-27 (HBL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L59-9 (HI1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L59-31 (HG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L59-27 (HBL+) - S2-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      L59-9 (HI1) - S2-2 (SHRR) Always Below 1 Ω
      L59-31 (HG1) - S2-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the L59 parking assist ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the S2 rear height control sensor sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L59-30 (HBE+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L59-9 (HI1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L59-31 (HG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L59-30 (HBE+) - S2-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      L59-9 (HI1) - S2-2 (SHRR) Always Below 1 Ω
      L59-31 (HG1) - S2-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU


    1. Reconnect the L59 parking assist ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the S2 rear height control sensor sub-assembly connector.
