BRAKE PEDAL(for LHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. POSITION FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  2. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER


    1. Remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET

  7. SEPARATE STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

      Use a seat belt to fix the steering wheel assembly, in order to avoid breakage of the spiral cable.

      Place matchmarks on the steering intermediate shaft assembly and the steering column assembly.

    3. Loosen bolt A.

    4. Remove bolt B.

    5. Separate the steering intermediate shaft assembly from the steering column assembly.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

      Remove the brake pedal return spring from the brake pedal support sub-assembly and the push rod pin.

  9. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

      Remove the clip and the push rod pin to separate the brake pedal support sub-assembly from the push rod clevis.

  10. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the wire harness clamp from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the bolt and separate the brake pedal support sub-assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

      Disengage the wire harness clamp from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

      Remove the 4 nuts and the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
