METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Hybrid System Indicator Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

A hybrid system indicator is adopted for this vehicle. In this circuit, the meter CPU receives the hybrid system indicator level signal from the power management control ECU via the CAN communication line (CAN No. 1 bus). The meter CPU controls the operation of the hybrid system indicator according to the hybrid system indicator level signal received from the power management control ECU via the CAN communication line (CAN No. 1 bus).

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if a CAN communication DTC is output Click here.

      Result
      Result Proceed to

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HV SYSTEM INDICATOR)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Check the operation by referring to the table below.

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HYBRID SYSTEM INDICATOR)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Check the values by referring to the table below.

  4. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or a known good one Click here.
