GENERATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

  4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  5. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE

  7. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  8. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Remove the terminal cap.

    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

    4. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.

    5. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps.

      Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly.

      Remove the 3 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the generator assembly.
