DESCRIPTION
When the driving support ECU assembly receives a SFI system or automatic transmission system malfunction signal from the ECM, this DTC is stored.
When DTC C1A40 is stored, the SFI system or automatic transmission system DTC will also be stored.

PROCEDURE
CHECK FOR DTCs (SFI SYSTEM)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs.

CHECK FOR DTCs (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs.

REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY
Replace the driving support ECU assembly.
Note
When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

Clear the DTCs.
Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
