THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install a new gasket to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

   2. Install the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly to the timing chain cover assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:

      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

   3. w/o Oil Cooler:

      Connect the No. 15 water by-pass hose to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

   4. w/ Oil Cooler:

      Connect the No. 7 water by-pass hose to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

   5. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

   6. Connect the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly connector.

2. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
