PROCEDURE
INSTALL SPARK PLUG
Tech Tips
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a spark plug.
w/ Canister Pump Module:
w/o Canister Pump Module:
Install the 6 spark plugs.
Note
If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Tech Tips
Install the same parts to their original positions.
INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
Tech Tips
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly.
w/ Canister Pump Module:
w/o Canister Pump Module:
Install the 6 ignition coil assemblies with the 6 bolts.
Note
If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Tech Tips
Install the same parts to their original positions.
Connect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.
CONNECT ENGINE WIRE
Connect the fuel pump assembly connector.
Engage the clamp to connect the fuel tube sub-assembly.
Connect the 2 VVT sensor connectors.
Connect the engine wire to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH with the 2 nuts.
Engage the 4 clamps.
Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 fuel tube sub-assembly.
Install the fuel hose clamp to the fuel tube connector.
Engage the claw to close the cover of the fuel hose clamp.
Connect the engine wire to the timing chain cover assembly with the bolt.
Connect the 2 camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly connectors and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly connector.
Engage the clamp.
INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly or spark plug.
