CLEAN QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY
Clean the outer edges of a new quarter window assembly with a non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the glass surface after cleaning it.
Be careful not to damage the glass or clips.
INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY
Using a brush or a sponge, apply Primer M to the exposed part of the vehicle body.
Note
Do not coat the adhesive with Primer M.
Do not apply too much primer.
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
Throw away any leftover primer.
Using a brush or a sponge, apply Primer G to the contact surface of the new quarter window glass.

Tech Tips
If an area other than that specified is coated by accident, wipe off the primer with a non-residue solvent before it dries.
Note
To prevent the glass from breaking at low temperatures, ensure that no primer adheres to the contact surface between the moulding and glass during application.
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
Throw away any leftover primer.
Do not apply too much primer.
Apply adhesive to the quarter window assembly.

Cut off the tip of the cartridge nozzle as shown in the illustration.

Load the sealer gun with cartridge.
Apply adhesive to the quarter window glass as shown in the illustration.
Install the quarter window glass to the vehicle body.
Position the quarter window glass so that the matchmarks are aligned, and press it in gently along the rim (when glass without a clip is used).
Lightly press the front surface of the windshield glass to ensure that the windshield glass is securely fit to the vehicle body (when glass without a clip is used).
Tech Tips
Press the glass with a force of 98 N (10 kgf, 22 lbf) or more.
Engage the 4 clips to install the quarter window glass (when glass with all clips is used).
Hold the quarter window assembly in place securely with protective tape or equivalent until the adhesive hardens.
Note
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
Check that the clips are attached to the body correctly.
Check the clearance between the body and glass.
Lightly press the outer surface of the glass to ensure a close fit that the glass is securely fit to the vehicle body.
Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.
Tech Tips
Apply adhesive onto the glass rim.
Note
Do not drive the vehicle within the time described in the table below.

INSPECT FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
After the adhesive has hardened, apply water from the outside of the vehicle. Check that no water leaks into the cabin.
If water leaks into the cabin, allow the water to dry and add adhesive.
Remove the protective tape.

DISCONNECT POWER BACK DOOR ROD (w/ Power Back Door)
Install the power back door rod with the 2 bolts.
INSTALL REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH LH (w/ Power Back Door)
Engage the 3 clips and 2 claws to install the rear window side garnish LH.
INSTALL BACK DOOR NO. 2 SERVICE HOLE COVER (w/ Power Back Door)
Engage the 3 claws to install the back door No. 2 service hole cover.
INSTALL BACK DOOR CENTER GARNISH (w/ Power Back Door)
Engage the 6 clips and 4 claws to install the back door center garnish.
INSTALL REAR QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
Engage the 2 guides, 8 claws and 15 clips, and install the rear quarter trim panel assembly LH.
Install the clip(A).
INSTALL DECK SIDE GARNISH LH
Engage the 4 guides and 12 claws to install the deck side garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

INSTALL BACK DOOR STRIKER COVER
Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws to install the back door striker cover.

Align the alignment marks on the weatherstrip with the protruding portions on the body indicated by the arrows in the illustration, and install the No. 1 slide door weatherstrip LH.
Note
After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.
