OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Manual Seat) REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 FLOOR CARPET MOULDING

      Using a screwdriver, turn the clip 90° counterclockwise to release the 2 locks, and remove the 2 No. 3 floor carpet mouldings.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the foremost position.

      Turn back the floor carpet.

      Disengage the 6 claws and guide, and remove the front seat leg cover LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

    2. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and guide, and open the cover.

      Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and guide, and open the cover.

      Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

    6. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the center position. Also, operate the reclining adjuster release handle and move the seatback to the upright position.

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      Remove the front seat assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    3. Remove the 5 nuts and the front seat leg assembly.

  9. REMOVE LOWER FRONT SEAT LEG COVER

      Remove the lower front seat leg cover.

  10. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

      Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    2. A01CDQI

      Remove the screw.

    3. Disengage the claw, clip and guide and remove the front seat cushion shield.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the claw, clip and guide and remove the front seat inner cushion shield.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage each clamp.

      Remove the nut and the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

  14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Disengage the 2 front seat cushion edge protectors as shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the 4 hooks.

    3. Disconnect the occupant detection sensor connector.

    4. A01CEK1

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    5. Disengage the 5 hooks and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD

      Remove the 15 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion pad from the separate type front seat cushion cover.
