FRONT SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the front axle hub sub-assembly.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  3. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR


    1. A01CFDQ

      Remove the 4 screws from the fender liner.

    2. A01CBU0E01

      Turn back the fender liner and remove the front speed sensor wire harness clamp from the body.

    3. A01CBU0E02

      Disconnect the front speed sensor connector.

    4. A01CAYJE01

      Remove the 2 front speed sensor wire harness clamps from the body.

    5. A01CDJHE01

      Remove the bolt and No. 2 sensor clamp from the body.

    6. A01CBUFE03

      Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 sensor clamp from the shock absorber.

    7. A01CDXEE01

      Remove the clamp from the shock absorber.

    8. A01CBJME01

      Remove the bolt and front speed sensor.

      Note


      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.

      • Clean the installation hole and the contact surface for the speed sensor every time it is removed.
