REMOVE RADIATOR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and radiator cover sub-assembly.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK
DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR WITH BRACKET
Remove the 2 nuts and separate the brake master cylinder reservoir with bracket from the outer cowl top panel.
REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL
Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

Disconnect the 2 clamps from the outer cowl top panel.
Remove the 8 bolts.
Remove the outer cowl top panel as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE BATTERY
Disconnect the positive (+) cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Disconnect the 2 wire clamps.
Loosen the nut, and remove the bolt and battery clamp.
Remove the battery and battery insulator.
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
Remove the battery tray.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE
Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum switching valve connector and wire harness clamp.
Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.
Disconnect the purge line hose from the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly and air cleaner hose.
Disconnect the ventilation hose.
Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

Lock the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp as shown in the illustration, and disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle body.
Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap with hose.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE
Remove the air cleaner filter element.
Disconnect the wire clamp.
Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NT)
Disconnect the transmission revolution sensor connector.
Remove the bolt and transmission revolution sensor.
Remove the O-ring from the transmission revolution sensor.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NIN)
Disconnect the transmission revolution sensor connector.
Remove the bolt and transmission revolution sensor.
Remove the O-ring from the transmission revolution sensor.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NOUT)
Disconnect the wire harness clamp and throttle body connector.
Disconnect the fuel pipe from the fuel pipe support bracket.
Remove the bolt and fuel pipe support bracket.
Remove the 3 bolts and throttle body assembly.
Tech Tips
Use wire or an equivalent tool to hang the throttle body assembly while keeping the water by-pass hoses connected.
Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire.
Disconnect the clamp from the wire harness clamp bracket.
Disconnect the transmission revolution sensor connector.
Remove the bolt and transmission revolution sensor.
Remove the O-ring from the transmission revolution sensor.
