STARTER (for 1.7 kW Type) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and radiator cover sub-assembly.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP


    1. Disconnect the positive (+) battery terminal cable from the battery.

      Remove the bolt and loosen the nut.

    3. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. Detach the hook of the battery clamp from the front battery bracket, and then remove the nut and battery clamp.

  4. REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR


    1. Remove the battery insulator.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY


    1. Remove the battery.

  6. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY


    1. Remove the battery tray.

  7. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts and battery carrier.

  8. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER SUPPORT

      Remove the 2 bolts and battery carrier support.

  9. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CCR0

      Disconnect the starter connector.

    2. Open the terminal cap, remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire.

    3. Detach the wire harness clamp.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and starter.
