CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER

      Disengage the claw to remove the lower No. 3 steering wheel cover.

  4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER

      Disengage the claw to remove the lower No. 2 steering wheel cover.

  5. REMOVE STEERING PAD


    1. Check that the engine switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), loosen the 2 "TORX" screws until the circumference groove catches on the screw case.

      Pull out the steering pad from the steering wheel assembly.

      Note

      When removing the steering pad, do not pull the airbag wire harness.

    5. A01CG5VE01

      Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the airbag connector from the steering pad.

      Note

      When disconnecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    6. Disconnect the horn connector to remove the steering pad.

  6. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH

      Disengage the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. A01CDCH

      Remove the 2 screws.

    4. A01CCVS

      Disengage the pin and remove the cruise control main switch as shown in the illustration.
