DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) cannot be customized via the navigation system vehicle customization screen.

Tech Tips

    The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the items for the following systems that are customizable via the multi-display screen:

  • Power Door Lock Control System

  • Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/ Smart Key System)

  • Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/o Smart Key System)

  • Lighting System (for Exterior)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

After replacing the radio and display receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, XM radio ID registration is necessary (w/ SDARS System).

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN Communication System is functioning normally Click here.

      CAN communication DTCs are not output.

  2. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM

    1. Check if the Power Door Lock Control System is malfunctioning Click here.

      Tech Tips

      Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the Power Door Lock Control System.

      OK
      No malfunctions are present in the Power Door Lock Control System.

    2. Proceed to the next step based on the inspection result.

    1. Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.

    2. Make a note of the customizable items for each main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) related system.

      These items shown as customizable via the navigation system vehicle customization screen can also be changed using the Techstream. In a following step, the Techstream will be used.

      1. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the Power Door Lock Control System related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen Click here.

      2. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/ Smart Key System) related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen Click here.

    3. Using the Techstream, confirm that it is possible to change the settings of the customize parameters that are available for customization via the multi-display screen.
