HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedures for the RHD and LHD.

  • The procedures listed below are the LHD.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE


    1. Remove the spiral cable Click here.

  3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the windshield wiper switch.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Note

      If the claw is pressed forcefully, it will break.

  4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A0158HI

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A015CE5

      While loosening the band clamp as shown in the illustration, detach the claw to remove the dimmer switch.

      Note

      If the claw is pressed forcefully, it will break.
