DESCRIPTION

The power back door unit assembly (power back door ECU) receives the power back door ON/OFF switch signal to sound the power back door warning buzzer.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (PBD BUZZER)


    1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and check that the power back door warning buzzer sounds Click here.

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER BACK DOOR WARNING BUZZER - POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K47 power back door warning buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the L52 power back door unit assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K47-1 (BZR+) - L52-26 (BZR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K47-2 (BZR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K47-1 (BZR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. REPLACE POWER BACK DOOR WARNING BUZZER


    1. Temporarily replace the power back door warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
