AIR CONDITIONING PANEL (w/o Multi-display) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedures for the LHD vehicle and RHD vehicle.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LHD vehicle.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 8 claws and remove the opening cover.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 6 claws.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 3 instrument panel register.

  5. REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 6 claws.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 4 instrument panel register.

  6. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

    1. Detach the 10 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 1 center instrument cluster finish panel.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Put protective tape around the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

  9. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the clip and screw.

    2. Detach the 8 claws.

    3. Disconnect the connectors, detach the 2 clamps and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION

    1. Put protective tape around the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

  11. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Remove the clip and screw.

    2. Detach the 7 claws and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 7 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connectors and remove the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY


    1. A0155ZB

      Pull the radio receiver to detach the 5 claws on the backside of the radio receiver.

    2. Disconnect the connectors and remove the radio receiver.
