FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the front seat assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. w/ Wire Harness:

      Connect the connectors under the front seat assembly LH.

    3. Temporarily install the front seat assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

    4. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    6. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the front seat assembly LH to the foremost position.

    7. A015BSZE01

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    8. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here

    9. for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column:

      Restore the Autoaway/Return function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Click here

  2. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH.

  3. INSTALL REAR OUTER FRONT SEAT TRACK COVER LH

    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the rear outer front seat track cover LH.

  4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front inner seat track bracket cover LH.

  5. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.

  7. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  8. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Lumbar Support)


    1. Check the lumbar support operation.


      1. Operate the lumbar switch and check that the lumbar support moves in both directions.
