LIGHTING SYSTEM Door Mirror Foot Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the door mirror foot lights.

1. CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

   
   

   1. Check the vehicle condition.

   PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS Click here

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

   5. Check that the door mirror foot lights operate.

      Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly that does not illuminate Click here.

   2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 (MLP) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 12 (-).

   3. Check that the outer mirror foot light comes on.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the H9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

   2. Disconnect the M6 outer rear view mirror assembly LH or L7 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LH Side: Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition M6-2 (MLP) - H9-4 (MILE) Always Below 1 Ω H9-4 (MILE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH Side: Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L7-2 (MLP) - H9-4 (MILE) Always Below 1 Ω H9-4 (MILE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

   
   

   NG

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

   REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Click here

5. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS on the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Mirror L or Mirror R / Active Test.

   5. Check that the door mirror foot lights operate.
