POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Memory) Power Retractable Mirrors do not Operate with Power Retract Mirror Switch

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives the retractable outer mirror switch signal from the outer mirror switch assembly (retractable outer mirror switch). The main body ECU then sends the mirror retract/return signal to each outer mirror control ECU assembly via CAN communication. Based on this signal, each outer mirror control ECU assembly retracts or returns the outer rear view mirror assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally Click here.

      OK
CAN communication DTCs are not output.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (RETRACTABLE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
