DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a communication error occurs between the radio receiver assembly and combination meter assembly.

B1324 After the radio receiver assembly receives a registration information signal, which is sent by the combination meter assembly when the engine switch is turned on (ACC), 1 or more times, the radio receiver assembly does not receive the signal for 30 seconds or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H180 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H14 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H180-3 (CNH1) - H14-28 (MSCH) Always Below 1 Ω
      H180-4 (CNL1) - H14-29 (MSCL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H180-3 (CNH1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H180-4 (CNL1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H180-3 (CNH1) - H180-4 (CNL1) Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H180-3 (CNH1) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
      H180-4 (CNL1) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

    INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the combination meter assembly (Click here).

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      28 (MSCH) - 29 (MSCL) Always 108 to 132 Ω

    INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the radio receiver assembly (Click here).

    2. A0003RBE02

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3 (CNH1) - 4 (CNL1) Always 108 to 132 Ω

  4. Click here

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or known good one (Click here).

    2. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  5. Click here

    CHECK METER / GAUGE SYSTEM


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait 30 seconds.

    2. Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly and the audio system can be operated normally.

      OK
      Audio system returns to normal.
