BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP(for RHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

    Use the same procedure as for LHD Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL

    Click here

  5. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately clean it off.

  6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  7. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  11. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

  12. SEPARATE RESERVOIR TUBE

  13. DISCONNECT BRAKE ACTUATOR HOSE

      Move the clip and disconnect the brake actuator hose from the brake booster pump assembly.

  14. REMOVE RESERVOIR BRACKET

      Remove the 2 bolts and reservoir bracket from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

  15. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A0007QL

      Disconnect the 2 connectors from the brake booster pump assembly.

    2. A0007Q3

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No. 1 brake tube from the brake booster pump assembly.

      Remove the 2 nuts, brake booster pump assembly, 2 brake actuator case collars and 2 brake booster pump bushings from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

      Note


      • Do not carry the brake booster pump assembly by the parts shown in bold in the illustration.

      • Do not drop the brake booster pump assembly when carrying it.

      • Do not kink or damage the brake lines.

      • Be careful not to allow any brake fluid to enter the connector.

  17. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the 2 wire harnesses from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

      Disengage the clamp to separate the front No. 5 brake tube from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

    3. A0007GT

      Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator bracket assembly from the vehicle body.
