INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

    Click here

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  9. REMOVE INTAKE FLANGE


    1. Type A:


      1. A0005F0

        Remove the 4 bolts and intake flange from the intake manifold.

    2. Type B:


      1. A00086E

        Remove the 3 bolts and intake flange from the intake manifold.

    3. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

  10. REMOVE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

  11. SEPARATE INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. A000405

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

    2. A00085T

      Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

    3. A0006GN

      Disengage the 6 wire harness clamps.

    4. A0005TO

      Remove the 6 bolts and separate the intake manifold.

  12. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE

  14. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. Remove the intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

    3. A0007WM

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

    4. A0007S5

      Disengage the clamp and remove the vacuum hose from the intake manifold.

    5. A0009GM

      Slide the clip and disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.
