FRONT BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER PAD LH


    1. A003LVH

      Disengage the claw and guide to remove the front bumper pad LH.

  2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER PAD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 INLET AIR CLEANER

      Remove the screw.

      Disengage the 2 claws and guide as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 3 inlet air cleaner.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SIDE ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the 2 screws.

      B006IFV Remove in this Direction

      Separate the 2 double-sided tapes to disengage the 2 guides to remove the front bumper extension mounting bracket as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the 2 front fender liner retainers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  13. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  15. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)


    1. Disengage the 7 clamps and remove the No. 3 engine room wire.

  16. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER LH

      Disengage the 5 claws to remove the fog light cover LH.

  17. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH

      Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the hook to remove the front bumper hole cover LH.

  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER PAD

      B006IOI Double-sided Tape

      Separate the double-sided tape to remove the front bumper pad.

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION LH

      Remove the 6 screws.

    2. Remove the clip.

      Disengage the 3 claws and 6 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the front bumper extension LH.

  22. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL

      Disengage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Separate the double-sided tape and disengage the guide to remove the hood to front end panel seal.

  24. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER CENTER BAR

      Remove the 8 clips.

      Remove the 2 outside moulding retainers.

      Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front bumper center bar as shown in the illustration.

  25. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM ASSEMBLY

      B006IOI Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the 2 spring nuts as shown in the illustration.

    2. A003OFLC01
      *a Spring Nut

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the 2 spring nuts as shown in the illustration.

    3. A003NB9C01
      *a Cut

      Using a plier nipper (side cutters), cut the 2 spring nuts at the positions shown in the illustration and remove them.

      Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the radiator grille emblem assembly.

  26. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

      Disengage the 4 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the front bumper energy absorber.

  27. REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER

      Remove the 3 clips and lower front bumper absorber.

  28. REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

  29. REMOVE RADIATOR SHUTTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  30. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly is necessary.


    1. Remove the fender apron mudguard seal sub-assembly RH.

    3. Remove the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Click here

    4. Disengage the 9 clamps.

    5. Remove the 8 bolts.

    6. Disengage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

  31. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

      Remove the 4 nuts and No. 2 front bumper reinforcement.

  32. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper extension sub-assembly LH.

  33. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the bolt.
