REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH side.

  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      Click here

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

  8. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH


    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

  13. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER

      Disengage the claws and guides to remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to remove the opposite side.

  14. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly outer LH.

  15. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. Disengage the clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the guides shown in the illustration, separate the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly outer LH and rear seat 3 point type belt assembly outer RH to remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      *1 Locking Button
      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

      Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

  18. REMOVE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER

      Disengage the guide to remove the seat belt retractor cover.
