The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Note
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER WITHOUT DOOR AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
When strong the instrument panel passenger airbag without door assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clamps to separate the wire harness.
Remove the 2 screws.
While bending the side of the airbag door on the vehicle rearward side, disengage the hooks.
Disengage the hooks from vehicle front side of the airbag door, and remove the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly.
REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, release the locking button.
Disconnect the airbag connector to remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.
