DESCRIPTION

The rear airbag sensor assembly LH consists of a lateral deceleration sensor, etc.

If the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the lateral deceleration sensor, it determines whether the SRS should be activated.

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the rear airbag sensor assembly LH circuit.

Note


  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  • When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

    2. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs
    3. Turn the power switch off.

    4. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      DTC B1635/24 or B1637/82 is not output B

  2. CHECK REAR AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01MJ3MC01
      *1 Rear Airbag Sensor Assembly RH
      *2 Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH

      Turn the power switch off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

    3. Interchange the rear airbag sensor assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.

    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

    5. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

    6. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

    7. Turn the power switch off.

    8. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

    9. Check for DTCs.

      DTC B1635/24 or B1637/82 is output B

    10. Turn the power switch off.

    11. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

    12. Return the rear airbag sensor assembly RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
