WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter, remove the protective tape from the water temperature sensor connecting portions of the FC cooling water pump inlet pipe immediately before performing the procedure.

      *a Fulcrum Length of 19 mm Union Nut Wrench
      *b Fulcrum Length of Torque Wrench

      Using a 19 mm union nut wrench, install the water temperature sensor and a new gasket to the FC cooling water pump inlet pipe.

      Torque:
      Specified tightening torque
      19.6 N*m  { 200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If the water temperature sensor is dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it with a new one.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.18 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)): 16.5 N*m (168 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf)

    3. Connect the water temperature sensor connector.

  5. INSTALL SUSPENSION MEMBER TO FRONT CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

  7. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 MOTOR UNDER COVER

  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER
