REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY(for Smart Cab) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the rear seat outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.

  1. PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Floor Anchor)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL LH

  7. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

  8. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly LH.

      *1 Locking Button
      B00692L Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the bolt.

    4. Detach the 2 guides and remove the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly LH.
