TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RECEIVER(for Double Cab) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during tire pressure warning receiver removal/installation are shown below.

  • When DTC detection conditions of "transmitter ID not received" DTC are met, TPWS indicator blinks for 1 minute, and then illuminates.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY


  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  6. REMOVE LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL LH

  9. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

      Remove the 5 clips and back panel trim.

  13. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER

    Note


    • Do not drop the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, strike it with tools or subject it to impact.

    • If the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver is subjected to an impact, replace it with a new one.

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the 2 guides to remove the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.

    3. Disconnect the connector from the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
