MANUAL TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY


  2. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING OIL SEAL


    1. A01SAW3N01

      Using SST, tap out the manual transmission extension housing oil seal.

      SST
      09308-00010

      Note

      Do not damage the installation surfaces of the manual transmission case.

  3. INSTALL MANUAL TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING OIL SEAL


    1. A01SALON01

      Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the manual transmission extension housing oil seal.

      09223-00010
      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the lip of the manual transmission extension housing oil seal.

  4. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY
