CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
CAUTION:
Do not remove the radiator cap sub-assembly, cylinder block drain cock plugs or radiator drain cock plug while the engine and radiator assembly are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.
PROCEDURE
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE FAN SHROUD
REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
REMOVE WATER INLET ASSEMBLY
Slide the 2 hose clamps and disconnect the radiator hose inlet and radiator hose outlet from the water inlet assembly.
Slide the 5 hose clamps and disconnect the water by-pass hose, No. 2 water by-pass hose, No. 3 water by-pass hose, No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water inlet assembly.
Remove the 5 bolts and water inlet assembly from the timing chain cover sub-assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the water outlet pipe.
Remove the gasket from the engine water pump assembly.
REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY
w/ Idler Pulley Cover Plate:
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 idler pulley cover plates, 2 No. 2 idler pulleys and 2 No. 2 idler pulley cover plates.
w/o Idler Pulley Cover Plate:
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 No. 2 idler pulleys and 2 No. 2 idler pulley cover plates.
for Integrated Type:
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 No. 2 idler pulleys.
REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY
Remove the 17 bolts, engine water pump assembly and gasket from the timing chain cover sub-assembly.
