CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
CAUTION:
Do not remove the radiator cap sub-assembly, cylinder block drain cock plugs or radiator drain cock plug while the engine and radiator assembly are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE
Remove the 4 clips and radiator air guide.
Note
Do not reuse the clip.
REMOVE RADIATOR HOSE INLET
Slide the 2 hose clamps and remove the radiator hose inlet from the radiator assembly and water inlet assembly.
REMOVE RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET

Detach the clamp from the radiator hose outlet.
Slide the 2 hose clamps and remove the radiator hose outlet from the radiator assembly and water inlet assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE
Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose from the radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE
Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from the radiator assembly.
REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR
Disconnect the reservoir hose from the radiator assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts, radiator reservoir and grommet.
REMOVE FAN SHROUD
Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the vane pump oil reservoir assembly from the radiator assembly and fan shroud.
Detach the 6 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the radiator assembly and fan shroud.
Loosen the 4 nuts holding the fluid coupling fan.
Remove the fan and generator V belt.
Detach the 2 claws holding the fan shroud.
Remove the 4 nuts of the fluid coupling fan, and then remove the shroud together with the fluid coupling fan.
Note
Be careful not to damage the radiator core.
Remove the fan pulley from the engine water pump assembly.
Remove the clamp from the fan shroud.
REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 bolts.
Slide the radiator assembly with cooler condenser assembly to the engine side.
Detach the 2 claws and 2 guides to disconnect the cooler condenser assembly from radiator assembly.
Note
Do not allow the radiator assembly to interfere with other parts.
Do not apply any excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly and cooler pipe.
Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle.
Note
Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or cooler pipe when removing the radiator assembly.
REMOVE RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG
Remove the radiator drain cock plug from the radiator assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the radiator drain cock plug.
