  • When replacing the parts in the following chart (A), replace the No. 1 injection pipe sub-assembly, No. 2 injection pipe sub-assembly, No. 3 injection pipe sub-assembly, No. 4 injection pipe sub-assembly and/or fuel inlet pipe sub-assembly with new ones.

    Replaced Parts (A) Pipes Requiring New Replacement

    • Injector assembly (including shuffling the injector assemblies between the cylinders)

    • Common rail assembly

    • Cylinder head sub-assembly

    • No. 1 injection pipe sub-assembly

    • No. 2 injection pipe sub-assembly

    • No. 3 injection pipe sub-assembly

    • No. 4 injection pipe sub-assembly

    • Supply pump assembly

    • Common rail assembly

    • Cylinder block sub-assembly

    • Cylinder head sub-assembly

    • Cylinder head gasket

    • Timing Gear Case Assembly

    		 Fuel inlet pipe sub-assembly

  • After removing the No. 1 injection pipe sub-assembly, No. 2 injection pipe sub-assembly, No. 3 injection pipe sub-assembly, No. 4 injection pipe sub-assembly and fuel inlet pipe sub-assembly, clean them with a brush and compressed air.

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 TIMING BELT COVER

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 TIMING BELT IDLER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERCOOLER SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 intercooler support bracket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE INTERCOOLER SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. Remove the 2 bolts and intercooler support bracket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE VENTILATION PIPE

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 TURBO INSULATOR

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

  10. DISCONNECT NO. 1 TURBO WATER HOSE

    Click here

  11. REMOVE TURBINE OUTLET ELBOW

    Click here

  12. REMOVE TURBOCHARGER STAY

    Click here

  13. DISCONNECT TURBO OIL INLET PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  14. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WITH TURBOCHARGER

      Remove the 8 nuts, 8 spacers, 8 collars and exhaust manifold with turbocharger shown in the illustration.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLE PULLEY ASSEMBLY

  17. REMOVE GENERATOR BRACKET


    1. Remove the bolt and generator bracket.

  18. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 compressor mounting bracket from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  20. REMOVE WATER INLET

  21. REMOVE THERMOSTAT

  22. REMOVE WATER OUTLET

      Remove the 2 bolts, water outlet and gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
