REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT LEG BRACKET


    1. B0057LXN01

      Tighten the 4 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration to install the seat leg bracket.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. Attach the clamp.

    3. Return the floor carpet to its original position.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT LEG ASSEMBLY


    1. B0056YPN03

      Attach the 2 guides to temporarily install the No. 1 seat leg assembly.

    2. Tighten the 10 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration to install the No. 1 seat leg assembly.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      w/ Seat Belt Warning System:

      Attach the 2 claws and 3 clamps to connect the wire harness.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Attach the 2 claws and 3 clamps to connect the wire harness.

  3. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD


    1. B005776

      Attach the 2 guides to install the battery service cover board.

    2. Install the 5 clips.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. B005BGLN09

      Attach the 2 guides and temporarily install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 4 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 4 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      w/ Seat Belt Warning System, w/o Seat Heater System:


      1. Attach the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Attach the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

    5. Attach the 6 clamps to connect the rear seat reclining control cable.

      *1 Lock Pin
      *2 Lock Piece

      When replacing the rear seat reclining control cable:


      1. Push in the lock pin and lock piece after connecting the cable.

    7. Operate the reclining adjuster release handle to fold down the rear seatback assembly RH.

      Install the 3 clips in the order indicated in the illustration.

    9. Return the rear seatback assembly RH to the upright position.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B0059R6N08

      Attach the 2 guides and temporarily install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 4 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      w/ Seat Belt Warning System, w/o Seat Heater System:


      1. Attach the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Attach the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

    5. Attach the 6 clamps to connect the rear seat reclining control cable.

      *1 Lock Pin
      *2 Lock Piece

      When replacing the rear seat reclining control cable:


      1. Push in the lock pin and lock piece after connecting the cable.

    7. Operate the reclining adjuster release handle to fold down the rear seatback assembly LH.

      Install the 4 clips in the order indicated in the illustration.

    9. Return the rear seatback assembly LH to the upright position.

  6. INSTALL NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD


    1. Attach the guide and 2 clips to install the No. 3 battery service cover board.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 3 battery service cover board.

  8. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Pass the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH through the rubber band of the rear seat cushion assembly.

      *A w/ Seat Heater System
      *a Rear seat cushion lock hook section
      *b Hook section at rear of rear seat cushion frame

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect the 2 connector.

    3. Attach the 2 hooks on the rear of the rear seat cushion frame.

    4. Attach the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks to install the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Check that the rear seat cushion lock hook and the rear seat cushion frame are securely inserted.
