P107A64 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (Low) Signal Plausibility Failure
  • When the engine switch has been turned on (IG) (the engine is stopped) and the fuel pump on the low pressure side is operated at the maximum, the low pressure side fuel pressure is higher or lower than threshold (2 trip detection logic).

  • When the fuel pump on the low pressure side is operated at the maximum during a fuel cut, the low pressure side fuel pressure is higher or lower than threshold (2 trip detection logic).

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).

  4. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  5. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on [A].

  6. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher [B].

  7. Drive the vehicle at 50 to 80 km/h (31 to 50 mph) for 15 minutes or more [C].

    CAUTION:

    When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.

    Tech Tips

    Drive the vehicle while keeping the engine load as constant as possible.

  8. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes [D].

  9. Read the pending DTCs.

    Tech Tips


    • If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.

    • If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.

  10. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.

  11. Input the DTC: P107A2A.

  12. Check the DTC judgment result.

  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).

  4. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  5. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on [A].

  6. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher [B].

  7. Drive the vehicle at 80 km/h (50 mph) for 10 seconds or more, and then decelerate the vehicle by releasing the accelerator pedal for 10 seconds or more to perform the fuel-cut [C].

    When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.

  8. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes [D].

  9. Read the pending DTCs.

Tech Tips

Read freeze frame data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P107A2A OR P107A64)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. Read the DTCs.


      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

      Tech Tips


      • If DTC P107A2A or P107A64 and P017100 or P017200 are output simultaneously, troubleshoot for DTC P107A2A or P107A64 first.

      • If any DTCs other than P107A2A or P107A64 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

    4. Start the engine.

    5. Start the engine and warm it up.
