|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| P107A2A | Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (Low) Signal Stuck in Range | When target low pressure side fuel pressure changes, the change in fuel pressure sensor value is abnormal (2 trip detection logic). |
|
Comes on | DTC stored | SAE: P107B |
| P107A64 | Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (Low) Signal Plausibility Failure |
|
|
Comes on | DTC stored | SAE: P107B |
MONITOR DESCRIPTION
If the fuel pressure sensor (for low pressure side) value does not follow the change in the target low pressure side fuel pressure, it is judged as a malfunction. If this malfunction is detected in 2 consecutive driving cycles, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and store DTC P107A2A.
If the fuel pressure sensor (for low pressure side) value is less than or higher than the threshold value when the engine switch has been turned on (IG) (the engine is stopped) and the fuel pump on the low pressure side is operated at the maximum, it is judged as a malfunction has occurred. If this malfunction is detected for 2 consecutive driving cycles, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and store DTC P107A64.
If the fuel pressure sensor (for low pressure side) value is less than or higher than the threshold value when the fuel pump on the low pressure side is operated at the maximum during a fuel cut, it is judged as a malfunction has occurred. If this malfunction is detected for 2 consecutive driving cycles, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and store DTC P107A64.
MONITOR STRATEGY
| Required Sensors/Components | Fuel pressure sensor (for low pressure side) |
| Frequency of Operation | Continuous: Stuck monitor Once per driving cycle: Correlation monitor |
CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on [A].
Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher [B].
Drive the vehicle at 50 to 80 km/h (31 to 50 mph) for 15 minutes or more [C].
CAUTION:
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Tech Tips
Drive the vehicle while keeping the engine load as constant as possible.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes [D].
Read the pending DTCs.
Tech Tips
If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.
Input the DTC: P107A2A.
Check the DTC judgment result.
| GTS Display | Description |
|---|---|
| NORMAL |
|
| ABNORMAL |
|
| INCOMPLETE |
|
| N/A |
|
Tech Tips
If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE or N/A, perform steps [C] and [D] again.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.
Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on [A].
Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher [B].
Drive the vehicle at 80 km/h (50 mph) for 10 seconds or more, and then decelerate the vehicle by releasing the accelerator pedal for 10 seconds or more to perform the fuel-cut [C].
Note
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Input the DTC: P107A64.
Check the DTC judgment result.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Tech Tips
Read freeze frame data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P107A2A OR P107A64)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
Read the DTCs.

Tech Tips
If DTC P107A2A or P107A64 and P017100 or P017200 are output simultaneously, troubleshoot for DTC P107A2A or P107A64 first.
If any DTCs other than P107A2A or P107A64 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
