DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the certification ECU cannot be customized via the audio and visual system vehicle customization screen.

The certification ECU controls the entry and start system (for Entry Function) related items that are customizable via the multi-display assembly screen.

Note


  • When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one.

    If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:


    • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.

    • The radio receiver assembly may not operate normally.

  • Before replacing the certification ECU, refer to the Service Bulletin.

Tech Tips

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Audio and Visual System.

    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  3. CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS


    1. Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.

    2. Make a note of the customizable items for each certification ECU related system.

      Tech Tips

      These items shown as customizable via the audio and visual system vehicle customization screen can also be changed manually. In a following step, a manual procedure will be used.


      1. Check the customize parameters list for the entry and start system (for Entry Function) related items that can be customized via the multi-display assembly screen.

    3. Manually change and confirm that it was possible to successfully change the settings of the customize parameters for each system that are available for customization via the multi-display assembly screen.
