DESCRIPTION

Upon receiving the hill-start assist control, dynamic radar cruise control, brake hold control or trailer sway control operating signal from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), the relay contact turns on and the stop lights come on.

Upon receiving the emergency brake signal operating signal from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), the relay contact turns on and the stop light blinks.

  • INF Code: 761


    • When the voltage at terminal IG1 is 9.5 V or more, stop light drive output (STPO) is ON and STP2 and EXO are OFF for 2 seconds or more


  • INF Code: 762


    • When the voltage at terminal IG1 is 9.5 V or more, stop light drive output (STPO) is OFF, EXO is OFF and the input signals for STP and STP2 differ for 5 seconds or more.

  1. CHECK STOP LIGHT OPERATION


    1. Check that the stop lights come on when the brake pedal is depressed and go off when the brake pedal is released.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Select the Data List on the GTS.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (STOP LIGHT CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Select the Active Test on the GTS.

      Turn the power switch off.

    2. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

    3. Disconnect the A57 skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Reconnect the A57 skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) connector.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    4. Perform a road test.

    5. Check if the same DTC is output.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY - STOP LIGHT CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

    2. Disconnect the A57 skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) connector.

    3. Disconnect the A3 stop light control ECU assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
