ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor.

    1. Install a new gasket to the engine coolant temperature sensor.

    2. Using a 19 mm union nut wrench, install the engine coolant temperature sensor to the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      19.6 N*m  { 200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      • Use the torque value compensation formula to calculate the torque value for use when a torque wrench is combined with a tool such as a union nut wrench.

    3. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    4. Install the heater bracket to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    5. Engage the heater hose to the heater bracket.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION


    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor.
