GRILLE SHUTTER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL RADIATOR SHUTTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 clips.

   2. Install the radiator shutter sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

   
   

   1. Install the radiator support opening cover with the 4 clips.

4. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT LH

   Click here

5. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT RH

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER

   Click here

7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (for Standard)

   Click here

8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (for Sport Package)

9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for Standard)

   Click here

10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for Sport Package)

    Click here

11. CHANGE RADIATOR SHUTTER CONTROL STATE

    Tech Tips

    If the swing grille actuator assembly is replaced with anew one, perform the following procedure.

    
    

    1. When using the GTS

       
       

       1. Clear DTC B1333

          Click here

    2. When not using the GTS

       
       

       1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.

       2. Once the speed signal is received normally, the state of the radiator shutter sub-assembly changes as follows to the normal control state.

          
          

          • Radiator shutter sub-assembly is operable

          • Cautions are not displayed

          • DTCs: none

          • Shutter state: open
