FRAME WIRE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRAME WIRE

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.


    1. A0022DR

      Install the frame wire with 2 new clamps.

      Note

      The clamps are non-reusable parts.

    2. A0020VEC02
      B003YHT Front Side

      Insert the frame wire into the floor panel hole and engage the 3 claws.

      Tech Tips

      The arrow should be pointing toward the front of the vehicle.

    3. A0022X9

      Install the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
    4. Engage the clamp.

    5. A0020GWN01

      for LHD:


      1. Engage the clamp (B).

      2. Install the 5 nuts.

        Torque:
        8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      3. Engage the clamp (A).

      4. A0020MC

        Install the 3 bolts.

        Torque:
        13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
      5. Engage the 2 clamps and install the wiring harness protector to the frame wire.

      6. A0020M7

        Engage the 2 claws to connect the frame wire to the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.

      7. Install the nut to the frame wire.

        Torque:
        12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      8. Connect the clamp.

      9. Remove the connector cover assembly.

      10. A0020ZJ

        Connect the 2 frame wire connectors to the inverter with converter assembly with the bolt.

        Torque:
        8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

        Note


        • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.

        • Do not touch the connector waterproofing rubber or terminals.

        • Do not damage the connectors, connector housings or inverter with converter assembly during connection.

        • Make sure that the connectors are fully engaged.

      11. A0021AM

        Engage the clamp.

      12. Install the nut.

        Torque:
        8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      13. Install the connector cover assembly.

    6. for RHD:


      1. A0022K3

        Install the 3 bolts.

        Torque:
        13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
      2. Engage the 2 clamps and Install the wiring harness protector to the frame wire.

      3. Remove the connector cover assembly.

        Click here

      4. A0021NS

        Connect the frame wire connector to the inverter with converter assembly with the bolt.

        Torque:
        8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

        Note


        • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.

        • Do not touch the connector waterproofing rubber or terminals.

        • Do not damage the connector, connector housing or inverter with converter assembly during connection.

        • Make sure that the connector is fully engaged.

      5. Engage the clamp.

      6. A00231O

        Engage the 2 claws to connect the frame wire to the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.

      7. Install the nut to the frame wire.

        Torque:
        12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      8. Engage the clamp.

      9. A0022EO

        Connect the air conditioner harness connector to the inverter with converter assembly.

        Note


        • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.

        • Do not touch the connector waterproofing rubber or terminals.

        • Do not damage the connector, connector housing or inverter with converter assembly during connection.

        • Make sure that the connector is fully engaged.

      10. A0022VE

        Engage the 2 clamps.

      11. Install the connector cover assembly.

    7. A0022AU

      Engage the 4 clamps.

      Engage the clamp and install the wiring harness protector.

    9. Install the nut to the wiring harness protector.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    10. A00237Z

      Connect the 2 frame wire connectors to the hybrid battery terminal block.

      Note

      The connectors should be connected securely.

    11. Engage the 2 clamps to the upper hybrid battery cover sub-assembly.

      Install the earth terminal to the upper hybrid battery cover sub-assembly.

      Note

      Be sure to face the correct side of the earth terminal up.

      Tech Tips

      The left side and right side can be reversed when installing the earth terminal.

    13. A00235Q

      Engage the 5 clamps.

    14. A0022ZR

      Connect the frame wire to the fusible link block assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      6.5 N*m  { 66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }
    15. Install the battery terminal connector cover.

  8. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

  13. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH


    1. Engage the 6 clips and install the front floor cover LH.

  14. INSTALL FRONT NO. 4 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the front No. 4 floor heat insulator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }
  15. INSTALL FRONT NO. 6 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the front No. 6 floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
