DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU assembly receives a SFI system or Automatic transmission system malfunction signal from the ECM, this DTC is stored.

When DTC C1A40 is stored, the SFI system or automatic transmission system DTC will also be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (SFI SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      for 2GR-FSE: Click here

      for 4GR-FSE (w/o Canister Pump Module): Click here

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. for A760H/A960E: Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. for AA81E: Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs.

  3. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly.

      Note

      When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  4. CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-CRASH 2)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Pre-Crash 2 > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.
