  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:


    • Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    • If a rear seat airbag assembly has deployed, replace the rear seat airbag assembly, bench type rear seatback cover and bench type rear seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    1. Disconnect the connector.

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw and rear door courtesy light switch assembly.
