FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP (for Manual Seat)


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

    2. Operate the vertical adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the uppermost position.

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the claw.

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and guide, and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

  2. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP (for Power Seat)


    1. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

    2. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly to the uppermost position.

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw (A).

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Pull the seat belt anchor cover cap as shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 claws (B) and 2 guides, and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

  3. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)

      Remove the bolt to disconnect the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)

    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  5. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

    Click here

  11. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH

    Click here

  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLER GARNISH ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Locking Button
      *c Release

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
